Talk : How to take a house down. All about timber-framed buildings

Richard Harris, Director of the Weald & Downland Open-air Museum in West Sussex will describe the construction of timber-framed buildings,and how they can be moved. Richard was previously involved in establishing Avoncroft Museum of Buildings in Bromsgrove and knows of all the problems in resiting and preserving historic buildings.
He is the author of the Shire book on timber-framed buildings, which many describe as the authorative book on such architecture.
The talk starts at 7.30 pm in the Training Room of Droitwich Fire Station which is accessed from the reception area in Friar Street, Droitwich Spa.
