In Liberties - a section of the 17th century map
This section of a seventeenth century map – (reproduced with permission of Droitwich Spa Town Council) – shows the part of Dodderhill parish (indicated by a red line) which lies within Droitwich. The area was to the south of the church of St Augustine, and included many of the salt seals where brine was evaporated to make salt.
Also just visible to the east (right hand side), is the site of the Town Mill.
The map is displayed in the Museum at Saint Richard’s House, Victoria Square, Droitwich Spa.
